We spent six weeks in Ensenada. No car of course, so we walked all over. One of the great things about town is talking to all of the people.
Every time you go into town, you see the same people...lots of different types of vendors.. selling merchandise, inviting you to eat in their restaurants, horse carriage rides, offering you tequila shots to get you into their stores, selling boat rides, taco stands, entertainers, etc...
After a bit they start to recognize you, and some of them stop trying to sell you everything they have. These are the people that I began stopping and talking too. One of the people I befriended is an art gallery owner. His entire gallery was full of artwork all painted by his family.
His father opened the shop over 50 years ago, and it's been in the family ever since. We shared stories and laughs. I met a few different people there. Greg of course had friends in town from his many visits before, and they were all happy to chat and catch up. It was fun meeting his friends as well. Meeting people in town and making friends was definitely a highlight of our time in Ensenada.
