We departed Isla San Francisco West late in the morning yesterday, Aug 4, after waking up to no wind at all. We had planned a 5am departure, but with no wind what was the point? The wonderful thing about cruising is plans are fluid and easy to change. Instead of our planned 51 mile sail to the east of San Jose, we decided to sail over to the Baja mainland. Chose an anchorage that was just over 15 miles away. Even with our delayed departure, we had to motor until the easterlies came in after lunch. Then it was a nice reach into beautiful Nopolo where we anchored before the sun set. Quiet little cove, and we are the only boat here. Its quite nice!!
